I designed this discussion guide to help kids think critically about the themes and issues raised in UNDER THE EGG. Organized around Grades 5-7 Common Core standards, the questions can be simplified for younger readers or supplemented for older ones. 

 

Use the guide to boost classroom engagement, or combine with hands-on projects to make an extra-special book club meeting. (Recycled tote bags and pickled beets, anyone?)
